There are a few things that may be causing your device to charge.
Proper Connection
Make sure your charger is securely attached together from all sides:
- The outlet plug into the wall outlet
- The other end of the plug into the charger brick
- The charger tip into the Chromebook.
If any of those parts are loose, there is a good chance that your Chromebook will not charge immediately.
USB-C Charging Ports
If you have a Chromebook model that accepts the USB-C charger (charger with a flat tip; usually these Chromebook models have one USB-C port on each side of the device), you may run into your Chromebook not being able to power on or charge.
Try plugging in the charger on the left side of the Chromebook and leaving it sit for about 15-20 minutes, and within that time, your Chromebook should power on.
Once you have done this, please hard reset your Chromebook. Click here to learn about performing a hard reset.
